They closed their eyes, feeling the world.
Taking a deep breath, they smelled and tasted the air around them, letting it settle in their chests. The taste of the air just after rain and the smell of the sun became still within them. Feeling the slight heat from a sun hidden by clouds, they relaxed. Their muscles loosened and their body felt just a bit heavier. Their mind released all thoughts save for the feelings that their senses were taking in.
Their mind wandered back to a time when life wasn't so complicated. When life was just for living, one calm moment in the sun after another.

DnD Fight Session - Spiketail's Contest - My Entry
In this, this is an excerpt of a dnd session, starring the party of people who play dnd alongside me. They are:-Cam the rogue (not very useful in this particular fight)
-Sam the archer (she’s a male half elf)
-Becky the leader (she has the highest charisma in the party)
-Me the monk (also part way demon-possessed, because of that, I have story and important plot relevance)

The monk looked around. He noticed a strange rumbling off in the distance.
“Perhaps...” he thought aloud, “This wasn’t the best idea...”
The rogue looked back at him and casually waved his hand, forgoing usual formalities, as

Great Journey Authors Notes 2 - Pre-Forest Report
Author here, just thought I’d tell you all who read these things about the characters, their general stats, their proper (for lack of a better word) appearance, and the stuff that they hold currently so I force myself to stop giving them stuff that they just magically need and have without prior explanation.
Without further ado, let’s get into stats. Yay~

Name: Bonnie
Species: Human
Height: 190 cm
Hair: A red-to-oak hue, chest length, almost wavy, simple braid
Eyes: Hot pink
Complexion: Tanned
Body shape: Muscular and toned from years of training. Muscles aren’t overly large, but still prominent. Breasts appear
Bonnie followed her orders. “Get Daniel and Sav,” she thought to herself. “Maybe the girls too.”
She walked towards where the nearest person would likely be. “Church first, then around to the shops, then finally following the trail back to the brewery.”
She walked determinedly to the church.

Savannah looked out her window. She saw Bonnie walk into the church. She heard yelling coming from the floor level of the church.
“Not exactly subtle, is she?” Savannah thought to herself.
Savannah yelled down the stairs. “Oi, Bon! Up here!”

"Hmm..." Jarrad thought aloud. "I wonder if I should get her help... Nah. Something'll happen if she hears about this."
"What's going to happen?" A familiar voice came from behind. Jarrad froze in his tracks, colour draining from his face. "And why, may I ask?" The effeminate voice behind him belittled the fear rushing through him. His pupils were now doubled in size and grew further.
Turning around, Jarrad saw the source of his fear. "Hey there, Bonnie..." he said, a strained smile passed across his features. "I-uh. I mean... Don't worry, it has nothing to do with-uhm. You see..." Jarrad was trying, vainly, to find the words for his senten
Daniel continued on his quest to get the ingredients from the shopping list, ending up outside the quarry-side shop.
Remembering to look at the counter this time, he looked around for his friend.
After noticing that she, in fact, was not at her post, Daniel called out.
"Hey Mich! You in here?" He said loudly, not quite yelling. A loud thump could be heard in the back room.
A muffled voice came from the other room. "Yeah..." A female voice mumbled. "I'm here..."
Daniel manoeuvred around the counter, seeing his friend under a pile of rocks and gems. "What're you doing?" He asked, rhetorically, rubbing his eyes with his finger and thumb.

Great Journey Authors Notes 1 - Magic
In Great Journey, there are many ways of using magic. Each one specialises in different magic.
For example, the church uses more magic for the aiding in the knowledge of their goddess, as well as more advanced forms of healing and protection magic, but their power comes directly from the goddess, and delivered through the caster. The goddess limits the amount of magic that is sent to the caster.
Similarly, some people contract with demons and devils to further their ambitions. These are the ones who are often viewed as the bad guys, because their power comes from an "evil" source. These are your sorcerers and warlocks, as well as other magi
"Now..." Jarrad thought, strolling casually towards the library. "What part of the library has the forest info?"
His train of thought temporarily ceased as he bumped into a lady, knocking both onto their rears.
"Oh, geez," Jarrad stated, lamely. "Sorry, I wasn't thinking." He held his hand out to help the lady up.
"No problem, I wasn't paying attention either," said the lady.
"Wait..." He thought. "I know that voice..."
Looking down, Jarrad realised that he knew the person he was helping up to her feet.
"Oh, Sav! It's you. What are you doing here?" Jarrad puzzled. "I thought you wouldn't have time to be down the street. How's that worki
Daniel ran around town. "Well..." he thought to himself, "I know what I said, but where will I get this stuff?" His run slowed to a walk.
An idea came to him. "I know exactly where to find these things!" he thought, sprinting to his new destination.
"At the florist!" he announced triumphantly, entering the building.
"And," he thought, "I can kill two birds with one stone!"
He cleared his throat. "EXCUSE ME!" he yelled, "IS MADDI HERE?"
"I'M BEHIND THE COUNTER! OR ARE YOU BLIND AS WELL AS DEAF?"
Maddi is a buddy of Daniel and Jarrad. They've known each other for a long time. She isn't very tall, maxing out at below average height, and sh

[A/N] I think it'll be easier for me to upload smaller chapters, so I'll be posting these as littler parts than I previously thought. Friends are helpful, they made that decision for me. I borrowed their names, but the characters are different to their real life counterparts, because, at least for some of us, we're lazy pricks.
Also, I will post Author Notes every now and again, to help with understanding everything. They won't "flow" with the story, but if you want to understand the little details better (or get utterly confused...), they'll be around.
Also also, this chapter follows on from the prologue. You'll know what I mean. On with t
So after rebooting my computer for the billionth time for new updates, my skype has started working! I dunno what went wrong with it, but it's back, better than eve- wait no, it's looking the same. But still!
I think I'm entitled to a power rangers rip-off.
"Aaahh! After 6 months, I'm free! Time to conquer Skype!"
Sooo..... ~spiketail94 (https://www.deviantart.com/spiketail94) always seems to have these awesome dreams. I decided to have one for myself. Granted, our dreams are nothing alike, but that might have something to do with her dreams always being transformers, whereas mine is... not quite so focused.
Without further ado, I'll begin documenting before I forget again.

I look around. Steel and concrete. Not much else. I get pushed along, in an attempt to move me faster than my usual dawdle, the nice officer gave me a slight shove. "Move it!" was all he decided to tell me.
The shackles on my arms weighed me down, physically and mentally. They strangled my wrists as though the
